I have installed iFilter 9 for 64-bit on a 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2. As soon as it was installed I started seeing thousands of folders in the root of c: with the names like A9R1aa0-e3efao. I uninstalled iFiler 9 and the folder creation stopped. I deleted all of the folders and reinstalled iFilter 9 and the folder creation started again.
