CATS is an applicant tracking system designed to make the hiring process easier, more efficient and more effective for both recruiting companies and internal HR. As it’s a web-based solution, CATS is accessible from any device.
CATS has a flexible and customizable structure, allowing users to create custom email triggers, fields and other items within the solution.
It also integrates with many different applications, such as job boards, HR software and communication sites. Some of the applications CATS integrates with include Gmail, BambooHR, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Slack, WordPress, Monster and Microsoft Outlook, to name a few.
Users can source candidates using the CATS Firefox and Google Chrome extensions, as well as open and edit documents in CATS directly in Google Drive and Microsoft Word. In addition to integrating with many email systems, users can also send mass emails within the applicant tracking system.
Users can customize their company career portals or choose from CATS’ pre-existing portal themes. CATS also allows users to create custom job applicants, and save application responses directly to a candidate’s profile in CATS.
CATS has added a few new features in its roadmap, such as SMS messaging, meeting scheduler, intelligent job and candidate matching and a revamped career portal.
CATS offers many features, some of which are indicated in the checkboxes below. However, we want to note some of its other functions.
Users can import bulk resumes into CATS – including mass imports and forwarding emails using the Resume Inbox. The system automatically parses any resume added to CATS (finding candidates’ contact information and other important information) and creates a candidate profile.
Another feature of CATS is its keyword search. Users can search their entire database of candidates by typing in specific keywords, including Boolean terms, and saving those searches. CATS also provides users with the ability to search a candidate’s resume and view the highlighted keywords in a quick preview.
Users can view reports on items, such as submissions, placements and number of interviews. Data can be exported to Excel/CSV for more custom reporting options.
Since CATS integrates with many job boards and social networks, users can automatically publish jobs and track candidate sources, without having to log into those sites.
Although it doesn’t have a dedicated app, CATS does offer mobile functionality. Users can access data within CATS on the go, such as candidate information, pipeline status and calendars.
And finally, CATS has multiple different user access levels, allowing you to restrict the ability to mass export, delete data and more.
CATS is targeted to both recruiting/staffing organizations and small to medium-sized businesses in all industries. We’ve listed 10 of its clients below: Feeding frenzy free trial download.
Since CATS offers a 14-day free trial, users can sign up by simply inputting their credit card information during or after their trial period. There are no training or implementation fees.
Tech support is available via email, phone or live chat during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Mondays through Fridays).
The Pro plan costs $89 per user, per month, and the Premium plan costs $119 per user, per month. The Premium plan includes additional features, such as multiple career portals, multiple workflows, API access, external search and on-demand backups.
CATS doesn’t offer the ability to create custom reports within the solution. Users will have to export data to Excel to create reports.
The solution also doesn’t offer onboarding or reference checking features. Those features can be used via an integrated HR or reference checking tool.
